My progression into the Real Estate Field has been a steady growth since getting my Realtor license in 2012 and working at it as a side job before realizing how much I enjoyed working with buyers and sellers.

In the very beginning of 2014, I took the leap and became a full-time Realtor, which continued for 6 years. In 2019, I attended A-Pass-Weikel Institute and acquired my classroom hours to attain my Real Estate Brokers License.

Early in 2020, I opened Mayes Thompson Realty and have continued to grow my business since opening. I am very versatile in the real estate industry, being up-to-date with the market in most of South Central Kentucky. Understanding the highest and best use for a property is a skill that I possess, making me stand out from the rest. I have done a lot of development work on vacant land properties for investors, which has educated me on what to do and what not to do in the development world.

In 2022, I attended the Kentucky Auction Academy and passed the Kentucky State Auctioneers test. So in 2023, I changed my business to Mayes Thompson Realty & Auction, adding auctions to our business, which adds so much more. Lots of properties; an auction is by far the best way to sell. The world’s most valuable assets are sold at auction, and we specialize in online auctions. It is our belief that online auctions allow your property to reach all over the United States and beyond. Why restrict it to local buyers when you can reach everyone.

None of this bio would be possible without the support and help from my wife Amy. We were married in 2004 and now have two wonderful children, Lyla and Oakes. She understands the commitment it takes to be successful in this business.
